From the first moments of the universe forming from protons and electrons, helium and hydrogen and collapsing, and colliding and forming new elements we have been connected to the stars.  The material that I make vessels from came from the same ineffable explosion as the material we are made of. The clay vessels we are so familiar with are ritual objects that connect us to the universe.

The forms are simple, pared back teacups, teapots, and moon vases that refer to Japanese and Scandinavian design.  Drawings move across the pots, containing mythological animals, astrophysical equations and chemical symbols, leaves, flowers and abstract marks.  They explore the way we are all linked, animate and inanimate, human to ancient elements.  The beginning of the universe in a teacup.
