We will look at:
Finding your creative voice.
Transferring ideas from your imagination into an artwork.
Using a Creative Framework to develop pots from something that inspires you.
Using drawing principles such as composition and negative space to create vessels that sing.
Developing ideas using a creative framework to create coherent body of work for exhibition.
Developing design for production tableware using compound decorative techniques.
Creating forms that work in harmony with your decoration and drawing.
Ceramic surface design, the role of texture and colour within ceramic design and how to integrate the surface with the body of the form.
Using negative space and working with 3d form.
How patterns bounce off one another in a group and the use of negative space while using three-dimensional forms with patterns.
By the end of the day you will have notes, sketches, photographs, test tiles and at least one finished pot.

This is a workshop for artists with experience who want to move forward in their practice.
